学院历史与发展
Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, founded in 1958, is a comprehensive higher education institution with engineering technology as its main feature. It has developed into a multidisciplinary university integrating engineering, management, economics, art and science. The college has been renamed several times since its establishment: it was originally named Henan Institute of Light Industry; then changed to Henan Polytechnic University in 2004; and finally became the current name - Zhengzhou Engineering Technology College - in 2017.

The college's educational philosophy is based on "practical-oriented" and "innovation-driven". It emphasizes cultivating students' practical skills and innovation ability through various courses such as experimental teaching classes, internships and project-based learning. For example, the college offers a unique course called "entrepreneurship training", which helps students develop their entrepreneurial spirit by inviting successful entrepreneurs to share their experiences.

Zhengzhou Engineering Technology College attaches great importance to experimental teaching and scientific research platforms for students' hands-on experience. There are over 20 laboratories covering multiple fields including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science etc., providing advanced equipment for experiments and research projects.

In addition to academic achievements, the school also focuses on campus culture construction and student activities to enhance students' comprehensive quality. Various cultural festivals are held throughout the year such as Mid-Autumn Festival celebration where mooncakes are shared among friends or Spring Festival when traditional Chinese New Year customs are observed together.

The college actively participates in international exchanges by establishing partnerships with foreign universities or institutions for mutual visits of teachers or joint research projects between faculties from both sides enabling exchange of ideas across different cultures thereby enriching our understanding of global issues while fostering future collaborations
