8月26日,TCL电子发布上半年及二季度财报时显示,其在受到外部因素挑战的情况下表现超出预期。蓝科技了解到,这一期间TCL电子在海外20个国家和地区表现突出,其中英国市场收入同比超过600%,日本市场同比增长200%,澳洲同比增长147%,成为上半年最亮眼的三大成就。
印度市场尽管面临高压环境,但仍然实现了82%的同比增长,被视为中国企业在印度市场中的标杆。考虑到特殊时期对供应链和用户体验的影响,以及线下活动和人才流动受限的情况下,TCL电子在全球化过程中取得了显著成绩,这些数据是其应对艰难环境并取得胜利的最佳证明。

吴吉宇,实业控股副总裁兼副总裁及海外营销本部总经理,在接受蓝科技专访时详细阐述了公司全球化清晰路径和发展方向。他指出,在疫情期间,公司采取了一系列策略调整来保证供应链可持续性。这包括确保工厂防疫工作,同时分享防疫经验给供应商和客户,以保障人员稳定供货。此外,还加强与前端业务联动,以准确预判渠道变化情况,并抓住恢复时间节点,比如美国消费者对于消费类产品需求的大幅增长。
Wu Jiuyu further explained that the company has a full-channel sales strategy in overseas markets, with both offline channels such as retail stores and supermarkets, and online channels like Amazon. The company established an e-commerce sales center at its overseas headquarters in late 2019 to coordinate overseas e-commerce sales. This helped the company capitalize on consumers' shift from offline to online shopping.
As for future plans, Wu emphasized that TCL aims to transform from a TV brand into a smart life technology brand through AI and IoT products. The goal is to create an IoT product group that provides comprehensive solutions for consumers through TV, mobile phones, home appliances, and other IoT categories.
In terms of specific targets, the "2564" plan includes achieving second place in the global TV market within three years; entering the top five in air-conditioning washing machines; having 60% of income come from TVs; and having 40% of income come from other product categories.
Regarding North America's growth despite challenging conditions, Wu attributed it to local teams' deep understanding of American market characteristics, timely adjustments based on market changes, secure supply chain management at factories in Hui Zhou (China), Vietnam (Vietnam), Mexico (Mexico), and strong channel relationships.
Finally, when asked about expected top ten countries by year-end growth rates or new production capacity expansion plans for Vietnamese and Mexican factories or Indian market development prospects next year along with contingency measures against potential trade barriers thereon said: “According to our plans,” he added. “Next year will see increased production capacity at Vietnamese and Mexican plants - with Phase II of both facilities set for completion then. As for India," we expect our factory there will be operational as scheduled."
Thus while some enterprises may struggle during difficult times TCl Electronics is proving itself capable of adapting well under pressure & thriving even amidst adversity
